ABOUT ME

CRISTINA CASTRO is a fully bilingual Los Angeles - based actress and producer born and raised in Mexico. She holds an MFA in acting from The Actors Studio Drama School, in which she was under the tutelage of Susan Aston, Jacqueline Knapp and Elizabeth Kemp.

She also completed a professional musical theater program at AMDA Musical Theatre Conservatory in NYC, and plays the Alto Sax in her spare time. Her recent credits include: Dolores, in Dolores a screenplay adaptation by Edward Allan Baker, Charlene in the web series Is This Life?, and Aphasia in the play Son of Cock Strong directed by Ralph Lewis. Other roles include Gabriela, in the play References to Salvador Dalí Make Me Hot, and Barbara, in August: Osage County.

In 2016 cofounded Voz Productions, a production company based in NYC that aims to tell the stories of everyday heroes that often go unnoticed. To give a voice to those who are not often heard.
